Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information My Studio Art collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

What we collect

• Contact & shipping details: name, email, shipping address, billing address, phone (optional). Provided by you at checkout.
• Payment information: processed by Shopify Payments. We do not see or store full card numbers.
• Order content: the text prompts you submit, color/size/material selections, add-ons, and the AI-generated 3D mesh produced for your order. Uploaded reference photos are sent to our AI generation provider (Tripo3D, with Meshy as a fallback) to create the 3D model and are NOT retained by My Studio Art. We keep the generated 3D model, not the photo. The provider processes the image under its own policy.
• Device & usage data: IP address, browser, device type, referrer, pages visited, timestamps. Collected via Cloudflare and standard server logs.
• Communications: emails, support tickets, and any messages you send us.

Accounts

When you create an account, you sign in through Shopify Customer Accounts using a one-time code sent to your email; we never see or store a password. On your behalf we store your Shopify customer identifier, your account email, and your account creation and last sign-in times. To keep you signed in we set a first-party session cookie on our domain; it is required for account features and is cleared when you sign out, when the session expires, or when you delete your account.

Saving a design to your account requires signing in. Saved designs include the text prompt, the generated 3D mesh and thumbnail held in our storage, and the color, size, and material chosen at generation time. These are tied to your account and are not shared with other users. If you generated a design from an uploaded photo, we save the generated 3D model only; we do not store the uploaded photo (see "AI-specific notes").

How we use it

• To produce, review, print, and ship your order.
• To process payment and prevent fraud.
• To respond to support requests.
• To send order updates and shipping notifications.
• To comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, law enforcement requests).
• To improve the Service (using anonymized usage data and aggregated prompt statistics).

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your prompts, reference photos, or generated 3D meshes to train AI models, ours or third parties.
• We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

Who we share with

• Shopify Inc. hosts checkout, processes payments, and stores order records. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare provides DNS, CDN, and Worker hosting. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Tripo3D is our primary AI engine; it processes prompts and reference images to generate 3D model previews. See Tripo3D's Privacy Policy.
• Meshy AI is used as a fallback AI engine that processes prompts and reference images to generate 3D model previews when needed. See Meshy's Privacy Policy.
• Slant 3D (our print partner) receives the 3D mesh file, your shipping address, and order details for fulfillment.
• Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) receive your shipping address and contact info to deliver your order.
• Legal & safety: we may disclose information to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or to protect against fraud, safety risks, or illegal activity.

Retention

Account profile data. Retained while your account is active; removed when you delete your account (see "Your rights").

Saved designs (account holders). Retained while your account is active. Deleting a saved design removes it from active storage and it cannot be recovered.

Unsaved and anonymous designs. Designs generated without signing in, or not saved to an account, are kept for 30 days from generation and then deleted. If you submit the same prompt again within that window you may receive the same cached result; otherwise it is gone.

Order records (including prompts and generated meshes): retained for 90 days after fulfillment for support and reprint requests, then deleted from active storage. Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained longer.

Tax and accounting records: 7 years. Support emails: 24 months. Marketing opt-ins: until you opt out.

AI-specific notes

When you submit a prompt, our backend sends it to (1) a router classifier model that decides whether to use procedural geometry or a generative AI model, (2) optionally, a prompt-enhancement model that rewrites your prompt for 3D printability, and (3) the 3D model generator. Reference images are sent to the same generator only.

Uploaded reference photos are sent to our AI generation provider (Tripo3D, with Meshy as a fallback) to create the 3D model and are NOT retained by My Studio Art. We keep the generated 3D model, not the photo. The provider processes the image under its own policy.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of first-party cookies for session management and basic analytics (Cloudflare's privacy-preserving analytics). Shopify checkout sets its own cookies for cart and fraud prevention. We also use third-party advertising and analytics cookies from Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and Google so we can measure how our advertising performs and reach people who may be interested in custom 3D prints. These advertising partners may set cookies and process limited data (such as pages viewed and actions taken on this site) under their own privacy policies. You can opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu, through Google's My Ad Center, or through the ad settings in your Meta and TikTok accounts.

When you sign in, we set a first-party authenticated-session cookie on our domain. It keeps you signed in to retrieve your saved designs and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. It is cleared on sign-out, on expiry, or on account deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
• Object to certain uses (for example, marketing).
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Account and saved-design deletion. You may request deletion of your account and all saved designs by emailing support@mystudioart.com from your account email; we process within 30 days. Tax and accounting records required by law are retained per the schedule above. Deletion is irreversible.
• Saved-design removal. You may ask us to remove individual saved designs at any time.
• Design data export. You may request a portable copy of your saved-design history (prompts, options, thumbnail references) within 30 days.

To exercise any right, email support@mystudioart.com from the email address associated with your order. We respond within 30 days.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you are outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US under US law. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices (TLS in transit, encrypted storage at Shopify and Cloudflare, OAuth for backend access). No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service.
